 B.Ed.-Aims of the course :The programme meets the needs of students who are seeking to develop their careers in education. This programme, combined with practical work in schools, allows people with experience and skills in working with pupils to build upon their existing competencies and to further their knowledge in appropriate academic study in order to gain a high level qualification. The primary aim of the programme is that you will achieve the levels of knowledge and standards of competence necessary to progress to a career in teaching. You will develop knowledge and understanding of educational processes and the ability to apply that knowledge and understanding. Eligibility : Graduation with atleast 45 % Marks (Candidate appearing in final year of graduation may also apply). Relaxation to SC/ST in Eligibility 5% (i.e. 40%) & OBC 3% (I.e. 42%) Career Opportunities : Teaching has been and continues to be one of the fastest growing occupations. Due to the number of teachers expected to retire, and those who simply leave the profession in order to pursue other interests, teaching positions are expected to continue growing throughout the next ten years. After successfully completion of the programme, students can expect rewarding careers in the private schools and government schools in teaching line. |
